Engagement to Education Pathway

The Reimagine Programme supports children and young people who are disengaged from education to re-engage, build readiness for learning, and progress into meaningful educational outcomes.
The programme provides a structured, trauma-informed pathway that prioritises safety and engagement while explicitly developing academic readiness and formal learning over time.

Program Overview:

Stage 1: Discover

Primary Focus: Safety & trust

Success Indicators: Young person feels safe and comfortable. Able to express basic preferences and needs. Participates in at least one activity with support. 

Stage 2: Explore

Primary Focus: Confidence & curiosity

Success Indicators: Shows willingness to try new activities. Demonstrates emerging confidence and curiosity. Can cope with small challenges with support. 

Stage 3: Deepen

Primary Focus: Skills & regulation

Success Indicators: Participates consistently across multiple activities. Manages mild frustration or structured tasks. Uses coping strategies with support. 

Stage 4: Broaden

Primay Focus:Learning connections

Success Indicators: Transfers skills between activities. Engages in longer or more structured learning sessions. Works toward simple, achievable learning goals. 

Stage 5: Thrive

Primary Focus: Readiness & transition

Success Indicators: Demonstrates consistent regulation and confidence. Understands how they learn best. Ready to transition to the environment where they will flourish. 

Who the Programme Is For

The Reimagine Programme is suitable for young people who:

  • Are emotionally dysregulated, school refusing, or disengaged
  • Have struggled to access traditional classroom environments
  • Require a relationship-based, therapeutic approach to learning
  • May have an EHCP or complex SEMH / neurodivergent needs
  • Need a graduated return to education rather than immediate formal demands
