Safeguarding
Safeguarding at School of Outdoors
At School of Outdoors, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring a safe, inclusive environment where every young person can thrive. Our policy aligns with statutory guidelines, and our team members are trained to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
Key Commitments in Safeguarding:
Child-Centered Approach
We place the well-being of young people at the forefront, providing immediate support whenever issues arise to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Safe and Trained Team Members
All team members undergo regular safeguarding and child protection training, including online safety.
Clear Reporting Procedures
We encourage open communication and have established clear procedures for reporting any safeguarding concerns. All disclosures are handled with confidentiality and sensitivity.
Prevent Duty Compliance
Our team is trained to recognise signs of radicalisation and extremism, complying with the Prevent Duty to protect young people from these risks.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Safeguarding procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure we meet current standards and incorporate feedback from team members, students, and stakeholders.
